SOP B73C · AILO-0022.7 · Amendment 2 · 15 déc 2025 · SECTION 4 · p.140–163
These non-normal procedures comply with the memory items and Non-Normal Checklists (NNC) contained in the B73C QRH (AILO-0902). For detailed information on the use and coordination of these checklists, refer to the Checklist Instructions section of the QRH.
No two emergencies are exactly the same and their handling will vary according to the stage of flight. These procedures must be followed to the maximum extent possible.
Aural warnings should be silenced and the master caution cancelled when the cause of the warning or caution has been recognized. Do not indicate the side of the failure with the first call.
The first priority for the PF is to fly and direct the aircraft in a safe manner. It is good practice for the PF to verify the status of the automation and call out the actual FMA, Selected Targets, and request any change as needed.
Drills are normally initiated without delay above 400 feet AAE. Any time an Engine Malfunction is identified, the Autothrottle will be disengaged by the PF at a minimum of 400 feet AAE with the aircraft under control.
NNC are initiated once the aircraft is in clean configuration, thrust is at or below MCT, and a “WHERE TO” has been established. The PF shall call “IDENTIFY” to prompt the PM to identify the situation. Following the PM’s response, the PF will call for the appropriate drill or NNC as needed.
With the aircraft under control and when time permits prior to or after completion of a drill or NNC, ATC should be advised to “STANDBY” until you are able to provide more information. Advise ATC if you will be flying a procedure that differs from ATC clearance or instructions, e.g. engine-out procedure with a turn, high altitude drift down or emergency descent.
Normally, the PM will complete the emergency drill and/or NNC, monitored by the PF. When an NNC is initiated, it is the PIC’s responsibility to ensure that the correct memory and reference items are accomplished. Any time a drill or an NNC is completed, the PM will advise "_________ DRILL COMPLETE" or “_________ CHECKLIST COMPLETE”.
