The purpose of the Emergency Action Guidelines (AILO-0955) is to guide the crew in handling most non-normal situations. It is a Crew Resource Management tool meant to take all parameters into consideration, to facilitate decision-making and communication, and to safely complete the flight. The EAG is not a checklist.

The PF should normally call for the EAG when:

QRH checklist has been completed (▪▪▪▪).
QRH checklist has been completed up to the Deferred Items.
QRH checklist is redirected (Go to) to either of these checklists: One Engine Inoperative Landing, or Engine In-Flight Start.
