External AC on the Generator Busses → BAT OFF removes the GPU and de-energizes the Generator Busses.
Generator Busses hors tension. In FLT : Garret APU continue d’alimenter les bus ; Sundstrand (as installed) coupe automatiquement (perte ECU).APU GEN on bus — On GND: APU is shut down by auto protection (fire detect / protection INOP). Generator Busses de-energized. In FLT: Garret APU keeps powering the buses; Sundstrand (as installed) shuts down automatically (ECU loss).
Engine-driven GEN on bus: BAT OFF has no effect on the AC system (ground and flight) — generators keep powering the Generator Busses.

Bonne pratique : monitorer l’INV sol et vol — indications 400 CPS FREQ et 115 AC VOLTS.Good practice: monitor INV on ground and in flight — 400 CPS FREQ and 115 AC VOLTS.
The DC receptacle is in the E&E compartment. External DC is paralleled with the battery and powers all circuits normally supplied by the battery. APU start is possible if the battery is discharged. Do not use external DC to charge a discharged battery.
Do not press RESID VOLTS with the generator online — risk of damaging the AC voltmeter. Residual of 12–15 V in flight means the GCR tripped while the generator is still turning.
Ground Service Bus powers: Battery Charger, Equipment Cooling fans (Normal) — audible on walk-around —, service lights (including cargo) and outlets.
Ground Service Switch OFF déconnecte le GPU du Ground Service Bus. Le switch‑relais trippe automatiquement OFF quand le GRD PWR cockpit passe ON.Ground Service Switch OFF disconnects the GPU from the Ground Service Bus. The switch-relay trips OFF automatically when cockpit GRD PWR goes ON.
Pickup DC : DC Bus 1 / DC Bus 2 / TR3 — pas TR1 / TR2 / TR3.The Electrical Power Annunciator Panel (EPAP) is on panel M238 (right of the observer seat). It provides extra bus-power info. DC pickup: DC Bus 1 / DC Bus 2 / TR3 — not TR1 / TR2 / TR3.
