Any in excess of those required by CAR 602.62 may be inoperative or missing provided required distribution is maintained. NOTE: CAR 602.62 states: A life preserver, with a survivor locator light, must be available for each passenger and crew member if the flight is to be conducted more than 50 nautical miles from shore.
