Lire le voyant comme la position de la vanne, pas comme « le start continue ».Read the light as valve position, not as “start continues”.

Bleed, start valve, starter, allumage, start lever, EGT et oil.

Au début du start le voyant doit s’allumer : l’air arrive au starter.At the start of the start the light must come on: air is reaching the starter.
Il doit s’éteindre au cutout N2. S’il reste, la vanne est encore ouverte : starter peut rester engagé, duct pressure affectée.It must go out at N2 cutout. If it stays, the valve is still open: starter may stay engaged, duct pressure affected.
En vol, un OPEN non commandé est une fuite d’air de start. Ce n’est pas anodin sur une longue croisière.In flight, an uncommanded OPEN is a start-air leak. Not trivial on a long cruise.

Deux temps à faire jouer : voyant attendu au début, voyant interdit à la fin. L’élève qui ignore le voyant en fin de start laisse le starter en prise.Two beats to drill: light expected at the start, light forbidden at the end. The student who ignores the end light leaves the starter engaged.
